Stephen is a professional drummer based in Crawley, West Sussex. He began his journey with the drum kit 20 years ago, under the mentorship of Scottish session drummer Tom Annan. After several years of playing in various school bands ranging in style, led by multi-instrumentalist Leon Thorne (Martha Reeves, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers), Stephen decided to pursue music as a career.
Stephen’s playing has taken him all over the world, including South Korea, Germany, Bahrain, Luxembourg and The Netherlands – not to mention, the length and breadth of the UK! His experience includes many theatre shows, function gigs and festivals.
Touring and theatre credits include: The 12 Tenors (South Korea & Europe 2018/19 tour); Seriously Collins (UK Tour); deputy for 9 to 5 - The Musical (Upstairs At The Gatehouse); Urinetown (The Urdang, London); Sleeping Beauty (Rhyl Pavilion, UK Productions); Cinderella (Harlequin Theatre, Redhill); Jack & The Beanstalk (Beacon Theatre, Greenock) and 9 to 5 - The Musical (City Academy, London).
Other previous freelance work includes: Tally Koren (Royal Albert Hall); Newham Music (Stratford Circus Arts Centre); Everything Changes - Take That Tribute (UK Tour); various functions for Callanish (Edinburgh) and DK Management (Brighton); Carnegie - The Musical (Edinburgh Fringe).
