Our Years In Halls is a brand new musical theatre piece, with book by Stephen Coetzee and music and lyrics by Markus Michelucci, with additional music and lyrics by Stephen Coetzee and Steven Smith. 

The piece, inspired by Stephen's time spent at university in the early 2010's, tells the story of 8 university friends getting to know each other, and the ups and downs of their friendships and romantic relationships, pinned against the backdrop of the challenges of rising social media of the time. 

The songs featured in the show come from years of material already written by Canadian folk singer-songwriter Markus Michelucci with some new additional material written specificly for Our Years.

The creatives were delighted to have a first read through of the first act in June 2025 in South London, with a terrific cast.
